Manchester United could move for Borussia Dortmund star forward Marco Reus, Arsenal show interest in Zenit St Petersburg forward Hulk, and Liverpool’s Daniel Agger time at Anfield might be over.
Borussia Dortmund and German international Marco Reus could be heading to Old Trafford, according to German newspaper BILD. Manchester United are reportedly making a £40 million bid for the star forward, which will break their previous record transfer fee of £37.5 million for former Chelsea attacking midfielder Juan Mata.
Reus has racked up 42 goals in 88 appearances, as well as 28 assists this season.
Meanwhile, Arsenal has been linked with Zenit and Brazil international Hulk, according to Football Direct News. Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has had troubles with his forward line all season, as Lukas Podolski and Theo Walcott were out with lengthy injuries, while target man Olivier Giroud’s performance suffered in the mid-season due to fatigue.
Hulk has scored 20 goals in all competitions this season for Zenit, and has helped his side to the top of the league.
Despite being a consistent performer all season, Liverpool defender Daniel Agger could be shown the door. The 29-year-old was linked with a move to Barcelona last summer, but nothing transpired. Football Direct News reports that Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has no plans for Agger in his squad next season, and the club will accept offers for Agger this coming transfer window.
Rodgers needs to boost Liverpool’s leaky backline, and is reportedly interested in Schalke’s Kyriakos Papadopoulos, Cardiff City captain Steven Caulker, and Sporting Lisbon’s Argentine international Marcos Rojo.
